metal-wool and live-elektronic

@ heart gallery mannheim, 2001 (videostill: andreas wagner)

spongeworks is an instrument made from metal-wool used in households for cleaning pots and pans.
connected to the different pins of the balanced input of a mixing-console,
they produce a wide variety of sounds by pressing and other manipulations,
eventually even picking up radio-transmissions.
the resulting sounds are then processed with live-electronics.
